2027 Play Selection

Standing Ovation Theatre is now accepting show proposals for consideration by our Play Selection Committee.

Directors and theatre creatives are invited to submit plays or musicals they are passionate about bringing to our stage. Whether it is a beloved classic, a modern favorite, a small-cast comedy, a powerful drama, or a musical that deserves its spotlight moment, we want to hear why this story belongs at Standing Ovation Theatre.

Please complete one form for each show you would like the committee to consider.

You may submit proposals for up to three shows.

All submissions must be received by Tuesday, July 7.

 The Play Selection Committee will begin meeting during the second half of July.

Once the exact meeting dates have been determined, directors who submitted proposals will be invited to attend one of those meetings to pitch their proposal in person. Directors who are unable to attend may submit a video pitch for the committee to review.

This pitch is an opportunity to share why you are passionate about the show, what excites you about bringing it to our theatre, and how you envision the production coming to life on the Standing Ovation Theatre stage.
